Client Setup / Subscription Import

Client Setup Guide

Follow the same steps from account setup through connection. If you already have an account or subscription, jump straight to the relevant step.

No email required Unlimited simultaneous devices 7-day refund policy

Menu names may vary across operating systems and client versions. This guide uses common labels such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import” to point you in the right direction. Follow the exact button labels and permission prompts shown in your panel and client. Make sure your subscription has loaded before connecting.

Create an Account and Open the User Panel

Start on VPNLake’s account creation page. No email is required; all you need is a username and password. Choose a username you can save easily, then set a unique password for the account. Use login details you can store securely, and don’t put your password in public notes, screenshots, or chat messages. Follow the prompts after submitting, and make sure you’ve reached the user panel rather than staying on the guide page.

If you already have an account, use the panel’s sign-in option instead of creating another one. Your account is linked to your plans, orders, and subscriptions, so use the same account throughout. If sign-in fails, check for extra spaces in your username and make sure your password’s capitalization is correct, then follow the on-screen instructions. Don’t keep creating accounts to troubleshoot a typo—you could have trouble finding your subscription after payment.

You’re done when you can open the panel and view your account overview. You can explore the overview, plans, and client download sections even if you haven’t chosen a plan yet. Next, select a billing option in the panel; there’s no need to go back to the marketing site to find it.

Choose a Plan and Check Your Order

Open the Plans section in the panel and choose between a monthly plan and a data package based on how often you’ll use the service. Monthly plans are suited to regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets on your plan’s activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. If you only need access occasionally, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. They don’t expire and remain available until used.

Before proceeding, check that the plan name, data allowance, and price shown in your order match your selection. Then continue using the payment options in the panel. VPNLake supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT; follow the payment details and instructions displayed on the page. Don’t open payment pages through unfamiliar links in chats, and don’t rely on a transfer screenshot alone as proof that your plan is active.

After paying, return to the user panel and check the order status and plan details on your account. If payment is complete but the plan hasn’t appeared yet, refresh the order and overview, keep your order details, and contact support through a panel ticket rather than paying again. When upgrading a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the order confirmation carefully before submitting. For more on billing and refunds, see the Plans page and Refund Policy.

Once this step is complete, the overview should show the plan linked to your order. Next, get your subscription—not your order number. The order is for checking the transaction; the subscription loads your server configuration.

Get Your Subscription Ready to Import

Open the account overview in the user panel and find the subscription section. Depending on the options available, copy the subscription link or use the import option for your client. The subscription link is neither the regular website address nor the name of a specific server; your client uses it to retrieve the configurations available to your account. Use the panel’s copy function to avoid selecting only part of the displayed link.

After copying the link, don’t paste it into a public search box or online checking tool. Your subscription may contain credentials for accessing your account, so protect it like your login details. Don’t share screenshots that show the full link in public groups. Any sample address in this guide is for illustrating the format only; use the subscription from your own panel. This page does not provide a ready-to-use subscription link.

If the panel offers direct import, install the relevant client first so your browser can hand the request over to it. If clicking the import option doesn’t open the client, follow the platform installation steps below and try again from the overview. You can also copy the link and add it manually. When your browser asks to open an app, make sure it’s the client you installed.

You’re done when you have your own subscription and know which client to use with it. Follow the instructions shown in your current client or panel to sign in and import it. If you can’t copy the link, configuration updates fail, or your account status looks wrong, check the Help Center first. Don’t try to edit the link parameters yourself.

Import Your Subscription by Platform

Get the VPNLake client for your operating system from the client downloads section in the user panel. You can access the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients after signing in, even without a purchased plan; an active plan is required to connect using a subscription. The iOS download option depends on your plan status in the panel. Use a client that supports subscription import—not a browser extension, and don’t try to open the subscription link as an installation file.

The process is the same on every platform: install and open the client, find the subscription or configuration menu, add your link, then save and update the configuration. If the panel offers one-click import for your client, you can use that instead. After importing, you should see a server list. If you see a configuration name but no servers, check whether the configuration still needs to be updated.

Windows Client

Choose the Windows download option in the panel, install the client, and open it. Find the management section in the sidebar or settings—it may be called “Subscription” or “Configuration”—then choose an option such as “Add” or “Import from URL” and paste your subscription link. Save and update the configuration, then check that selectable servers appear in the list. If importing through the browser has already created a configuration, check that one instead of adding it again.

Before connecting, check whether the client has a system proxy option. For your first setup, keep the client’s recommended settings and don’t run other proxy tools at the same time. If the client says it’s connected but browsing looks unchanged, check whether the system proxy is enabled before deleting your subscription. For more on proxy modes, see the Plan Guide: Server Types and How to Use Them.

macOS Client

Get the macOS client from the panel and follow the system prompts to install and open it. Go to the configuration or subscription manager, choose the option to add a configuration by URL, paste the subscription link you copied, and save it. If you’re importing directly from the panel, your browser may ask to open the app. Confirm, return to the client, check that the new configuration is listed, and update it.

If macOS asks for network permissions when you connect, make sure the request comes from the client you just installed, then grant the permissions it needs. Connection controls may be in the main window or menu bar, depending on the client. Even if the icon changes, test access to a site to confirm the connection works. If the system blocks the app from opening, check the download section for the source and compatible version. Don’t copy unfamiliar Terminal commands from the web.

Android Client

Sign in and choose the Android client in the downloads section. Install it and open the main screen. Subscription import is usually in configuration management, or under an Add button with an option to import from a URL. Paste the full subscription link, save it, and wait for the configuration to update. If you’re pasting from the clipboard, make sure you haven’t included any surrounding instructions. Once the server list appears, open the connection screen and choose a server.

The first time you connect, Android may ask for permission to set up a VPN connection. Check the app name before confirming. If the connection drops when you switch apps, check whether the system is restricting the client’s background activity or battery usage. Follow the system prompts to adjust the relevant permissions. Avoid changing many settings at once, so you can tell what affects the connection.

iOS Client

First, check in the panel that your plan is active, then look for the iOS download option. The panel provides an App Store link based on your plan status. If the option isn’t available, check whether your plan is active or expired. Don’t assume you can install the iOS client from files intended for other platforms. Install the client provided through the panel, then return to the account overview to import your subscription.

In the client, choose URL import from the subscription, configuration, or Add menu. If the panel offers a compatible one-click import option, you can use it to open the app. Save and update the configuration, then choose a server and connect. The first time iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, verify where the request came from and follow the prompts to authorize it. The connection indicator can help, but confirm by checking that your chosen service loads properly.

Linux and Other Import Questions

Linux users can also start in the panel’s downloads section and follow the client instructions there to add a subscription. Don’t assume the buttons are in the same places as on other systems, and don’t manually assemble configuration fields. If you’re unsure which import format to use, note the client name and error message, then search the Help Center for the issue or submit a ticket in the panel.

Connect to a Server and Test Access

Once the configuration has updated, choose a server in the client and connect. Keep the setup simple for your first test: use a network that’s working normally, run only the client you’re setting up, and avoid changing routing rules, system proxy settings, or other network tools at the same time. That way, if something goes wrong, you can narrow it down to the subscription, server, or permissions.

First, check that the client reports a successful connection. Then open an international site you normally use and see whether the page loads fully. Test the features you need, such as opening an AI tool’s chat page or loading streaming content. Loading a site’s homepage alone doesn’t guarantee that account sign-in, regional content, or specific features will work; those also depend on the platform’s rules and your account status.

If the subscription won’t update, check your plan status in the panel and make sure you copied the complete link. If servers appear but the connection fails, try another server in the same configuration. If the client says it’s connected but your chosen site still won’t load, check that the system proxy or VPN permission is active and that no other tool is controlling the network. Don’t assume every issue is tied to a particular region, and don’t try to fix connection problems by paying again.

Once the connection is working, keep the configuration in your client. Next time, check its status and the server list before connecting. VPNLake allows unlimited simultaneous devices, but data is still subject to the rules of your chosen plan. Install a client and import the subscription separately on each device. For more on server types and plan trade-offs, read the Plan Guide. If problems persist, visit the Help Center or submit a support ticket through the panel with your operating system, client name, error message, and troubleshooting steps. Before sharing a screenshot, hide your password and the full subscription link to help protect your account while we investigate.
